The Dane County Food Council is excited to announce the 2016 Food Celebration weekend of events, from October 21st to October 23th. Each event will celebrate food with a theme on food waste reduction. This year’s main event, Re-plated: A Community Meal, will highlight the many ways there are to decrease food waste in the community, including serving a meal made from produce gleaned from local farm fields. The meal made from produce that would have otherwise been wasted will showcase the fact that we can feed a lot of people with food that often is left in a field or ends up in a landfill.
Each year the Food Summit reaches a wide audience of farmers, activists, restaurateurs, community gardeners, educators, processors, entrepreneurs and community organizations engaged in building a sustainable and equitable local food system.
We invite you to become a co-sponsor of the 2016 Food Celebration. Co-sponsors will help us keep the events affordable for all participants. Your logo will be included on promotional pieces including our website, online registration and other materials. Last year more than 100 participants attended the event. This year we hope for even more.
To become a sponsor, complete the form here and mail with your check made payable to Dane County Treasurer or make your sponsorship online on Eventbrite at https://www.eventbrite.com/e/dane-county-food-day-weekend-of-events-sponsorship-tickets-26933125704 by October 1st.
